Welcome to Chuck's Brushes Web site,

I have been creating art since I was young. As an artist married to my craft, I am fortunate to do what I believe in: creating art for the eye while being a free spirit. But this also means I sometimes struggle to make ends meet. I have always gone to where I feel opportunity beckoning to me. I have traveled to places never imagined, and gone to places near and dear to my heart. I have worked as an actor, painter, and artist-in-residence for several decades. Traveling has always been a way of life for me, even when I am rooted in a place for several months (or years).

But now I am in the second half of my life, and ready to stay in one place where I can have my brushes, my art, and my studio. I want to be able to paint whenever I feel like, not when I have time. That desire is being fulfilled with my new home in Austin, Texas. I am also grateful for technology, since it has provided me a website where I can reach more people through my art.
